Bugfix release.
Lot of safeguards, to avoid unforseen cercomstances.
Next release will have the fixes for :
- DOS32a doesn't work on occasions (trailing backslash in environment vars?)
- PathChanger needs redesign |

Added a zip extraction directory to the D.O.G. Options.
Setting it to <default>, blank, a write protected directory or unexisting directory will result in the old functionality, else this directory will be used.
All drives will now be extracted to their own personal map inside the used directory, meaning 'A' to 'Y'. This to avoid overwriting two zips mounted as differant drives but both archives having the same name.
Also added a nice ui to view the archive processing wich is a needed function when using large archives.
Archive corruption can occur on several occasions,
Short on diskspace, Windows Explorer block, D.O.G. crash, Low on mem ...
Still need to find a way to catch and correct these situations.
I'm planning to move the DOS32 feature outside the profile manager as DOS32a doesn't have anything to do with an extra functionality but more with rewriting the game's exe or extender.
Pathchanger still no change.
Still to do :
- Safeguarding against archive corruption (don't know how yet)
- DOS32a doesn't work on occasions (trailing backslash in environment vars?)
- PathChanger needs redesign |

Hi,
| Quote: | | ok i somewhat sorted that out, though i think the <DOGHOME> showing instead of the drive letter is a bug. |
Can't follow, sorry,
What did you sort out?
Were do you encounter the <DOGHOME> that you think is a bug?
Or do you mean that, if <DOGHOME> represents a drivename like C:\ then it needs to show C:\ instead?
| Quote: |
Also, Resolutions are saving, but not loading, all resolutions are 640x480 at load. |
Yup, you are right will fix it as soon as possible.
Steps to reproduce :
1. Edit Profile
2. Set Resolution to other then 640x480
3. OK
4. Edit Profile
5. Change Profile to 640x480
6. Cancel
7. Edit Profile
Expected : Resolution set to selected res for Profile
Actual : Resolution set to 640x480
Thanks,
Erik. |

I'll fix it as soon as possible.
Can you give me the path used for D.O.G.?
| Quote: | | Secondly, i was under the impression that when adding a zipped game+exe, it was supposed to automatically supposed to mount that zip? because not mounting the zip also leads to the game failing to load. |
As long as there is no "C" drive already mounted.
D.O.G. could mount automatically a D "and so on", but this could break some games as they require a drive name C to start from.
Another posibility is giving the user the option (popup) to have the C automatically changed or mounting a next available drive like D.
What do you think?

It seems that the D.O.G. 1.6 beta download no longer works.
The link returns with the error:
| Quote: | | File not found! The file you requested does not exist. It may have been deleted or the URL is incorrect. |
I assume that FileDen.com has a policy where files are automatically deleted after a certain period of inactivity. Anotherwords, whenever a file is not downloaded for a couple weeks. Most free file hosts are like that now. I've done my homework looking for a free file host without such restrictions and, unfortunately, they're becoming more and more scarce.
I've only found two free file hosts left that don't automatically delete.
And I've had good experience so far with Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | . True, the free account is limited to 30 MB of space and has other restrictions, but it does allow all file types. |

Register a Windows Live account, and use Skydrive.live.com
free, permanent file storage. _________________

In the meantime, if someone has a copy of 1.6 beta, could they re-upload it somewhere? I've been away for quite a while and I'd like to try it.
Of course the best thing would be if erikgg found a better filehost and reuploaded it, or a newer version but he seems to be MIA (?) |

Hi,
As my workload at work is decreasing 'economic crises and all..." I'm getting more time to spend on the dev of D.O.G.
I'll reupload and clean up everything as soon as possible.
Greetings,
Erik. |
